Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel. The energy centres of the body appear like wheels or orbs to those who see energy (hence the name). Most traditions describe a system of 7 chakras which correspond with different parts of the body.

 

Chakras can become out of balance affecting wellbeing. Placing a corresponding crystal on the affected chakra focuses energy directly where needed for healing to help ease pain or discomfort. For an overall re-balancing of the chakras place the corresponding crystal on each chakra.

 

When all chakras are in balance many benefits can be felt. A healthy chakra is full of moving, vibrating energy. Where there is dis-ease the energy flow slows or stops as it is blocked. Working with chakras can heal and prevent dis-ease. This will promote physical, mental and spiritual well-being and health.

Brow or Third Eye is the 6th Chakra linked to mind, ideas, thoughts, dreams, psychic abilities.

Throat is the 5th Chakra linked to communication.

Heart is the 4th Chakra linked to safety, trust, adventure and love.

Solar or Solar Plexus is the 3rd Chakra linked to personal power, emotions, physical centre.

Sacral is the 2nd Chakra linked to connection to other people, creativity and energy.

Root is the 1st Chakra linked to survival, health, abundance, connection to the earth and moving forward in life.
